The Last of the Mohicans is an epic novel by James Fenimore Cooper, first published in January 1826.It was one of the most popular English-language novels of its time, and helped establish Cooper as one of the first world-famous American writers. The story takes place in 1757 during the French and Indian War, when France and Great Britain battled for control of the American and Canadian colonies. During this war, the French often allied themselves with Native American tribes in order to gain an advantage over the British, with unpredictable and often tragic results.
This book is full of fast-paced outdoors adventure. Truly worth your time. I'd like to particularly compliment the single narrator who gives an astonishing performance and brings the characters to life. Well done, sir.
The language in this book is absolutely breathtaking. The eloquence is outstanding, and though it is a challenging read, it is an all time classic for a reason. I highly recommend this novel.
I love to read, but this book is terrible. I wish I could quit reading it but it's required for school.
This book is a must read. The story is moving and full of action. These audio recordings have helped me stay on track while I study this book. The book is great literature and, at times, it is hard to follow. The audio books have been a great help to me in understanding it during confusing sections.
